Elizabeth Duvall

Elizabeth Duvall is a junior at the University of Oregon majoring in Cinema Studies and minoring in Creative Writing working towards a career in creative producing. At UO, she quickly made a name for herself in the Cinema Studies Department, being nominated as the primary student representative for a department wide expansion project. During her time in the program, she has helmed, directed, and produced various projects and continues to do so outside of school.

By age nineteen, she had successfully self-published a novella of prose-like vignettes detailing her teen years alongside a handful of credits in numerous literary journals and zines. Aside from writing based endeavors, Duvall enjoys burying her nose in a book, keeping up with any and all Game of Thrones matters, spending time outside, and The New York Times daily crossword.

In her own works, Duvall draws inspiration primarily from her everyday life, a common theme in her work being “beauty in the mundane”. Writing for Voices speaks to Duvall in that she can collaborate with other individuals who value creative expression without an agenda. Voices lends itself to passion, giving it the utmost importance to what she and the creators stand for.
